Service Description

Exercise is recommended for all patients at least 5 days a week. When starting a new vigorous exercise routine in an asymptomatic patient with a prior sedentary lifestyle may be reasonable for patients to undergo cardiac risk stratification via cardiology consultation and referral for exercise stress testing. This evaluation can help to determine if the patient is stable for the vigorous exercise routine from a cardiac standpoint. It is a ACC/AHA Class IIb indication. The cost of cardiology consultation for cardiac risk stratification usually starts at $125.00 for new patients. This offer allows for uninsured, new patients to receive a $50.00 discount for out-of-pocket expense if appointment is booked online. Therefore, uninsured patients will pay $75.00 for online booking. Discount does not apply to testing, imaging, or procedures, i.e. labs, ECG, stress testing, echo, angiograms, etc., if needed. (Insured patients: we accept most insurance company cards for coverage of all medical expenses in insured patients, leaving insured patients with minimal, if any, out-of-pocket co-pay or cost.) Please bring a list of all medical conditions, surgeries, medication and supplement list, medical allergy list, recent lab results, i.e. CBC, CMP, lipid panel, TSH, Vitamin D, CRP, calcium score (if available), cardiac testing reports, i.e. ECG, stress test, echo, angiogram/cath, PCI (if available), name and contact information for primary care physician, including fax number (if available), and a brief description of exercise routine you are considering. This will assist in continuity of care and providing a comprehensive cardiac evaluation. There is a $25.00 nonrefundable fee for missed appointments if the patient does not reschedule or cancel the appointment within 48 hours of appointment date and time.
